Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey guys does the 1HD-FTE, in particular the ute spec, have an overboost adjustment built into the ECU. If so what is the trigger point. Mine appears to boost up to near on 15psi which I am led to believe is factory standard. However I would like to tweak a couple more psi out of it but was wondering when the ECU will intervene. I know it's possible to alter the voltage signals to the ECu etc to fool it like the car guys do but then I assume the ECU will also alter fuel setting accordingly so a bit of a catch 22.

Is it possible to get another 3-4 psi into the engine pretty easliy without upsetting the ECU.

I have a DP Chip in mine & run 37's no problems & tow a 2 tonne trailer

Yeah DP Chip installed just looking to play a bit more. What are you running the chip at. I'm on 8.

WHy dont you ring the boys up at AWD Teck & they can tune it for more go
I sold a chip to a bloke in Sydney from this forum for a Prado & he just wanted more go so he delt with them direct
Just a thought anyway
