Just wondering is this too large, at the moment i have a safari turbo on custom high mnt manifold with larger injector 12mm plungers in pump and front mount intercooler, turbo is maxed out at 13 pound after more power any suggestions?

What sort of RPM bandwidth are we talking here??
ie. When does it spool, when does it come on full boost and where does it taper off?

I would suggest that a T35/40 is too big for a TD42, unless you like driving in the red that is

comes on boost at about 1300 rpm and pulls hard to 12 to 13 pound chirps gears when in to it,but turbo is maxed out ive check waste gate not siezed waste gate diafram and had hose off actuator disconected so am looking at a t3/t4 from a mate but it is external waste gate so will have to mod manifold.

What turbo is on it now? Are you able to get any numbers off it?

I think a 35/40 would be far to big on it even if you changed to the smallest rear housing.

What flange pattern is your manifold? I will see what turbos I can find to suit it

i was looking at using a kkr480 on my conversion. A few guys have said they have run them on their td42 with no probs after 2 yrs, turbo wise. not sure of boost being run in those setups but i know it was above 14 all day, everyday. Their a copy of garrett. Got a couple of m8's running the kkr430 on their drift cars and never had probs.

Our paint guy at work runs a t04 on his td42, 18 all day, has gu pump with boost compensator, modify'd intake mainfold with equal length runners, front mount. Hes just waiting on changing to a bit smaller exhaust housing as lags for a bit. can't remmber pwr at wheels.
