I've recently completed a solid axle swap to my ''97 hilux now i have trouble with the drag link hitting the chassis on full up flex on the front left hand side, i've used the double arm and drag link supplied by chaos, should i just make the bump stops on that side longer or can i bend the drag link to clear the chassis any info would be helpfull

flip it up side down or cut out the gusset and crush the arm down( this will increase your bump steer), you don`t want to loose any wheel travel at all that defeats the perpose of doing an SAS.

extending the bump stops doesnt always mean loosing travel. In alot of situations it will increase travel.

what type of hangers did you use? maybe a pitman arm that sits alot lower? reverse tapper the tierod end?

Mate of mine used a reverse taper on the arm to the steer box on his ORI double flip arm to fix the same problem on his 2000 model, but this also increased the bump steer alot.

I used a cross member supplied by chaos with the hangers mounted to that and welded to the front under side of my chassis so the hanger is approx 4 inches down from the chassis.
How do i reverse taper the tie rod end?

The pitman arm end of the drag link has about 25mm clearence from my front right spring at full up flex, but because im running 36in swampers at full lok the tyres rub slightly on the spring so im cautious not to turn to tight so there for i have plenty of clearance between my pitman arm and spring

do you have IFS hubs? i have my axle about 5inch foward. 35's sit level with the front of the truck, on full lock weather it be left or right the tyres dont rub at all. they compress back towards the firewall, this still isnt a drama.

I have standard '84 hubs and my diff is 70mm foward of its original possie, They r rubing on every 3rd block on the tyre as they stand out a fair bit
