HJ47 cab onto a 75 series chassis has anyone done this?

I like the shape of the hj47 but would like power steering ,a 5 speed box and a few other bits and pieces.

Sounds like a straightforward conversion...With the usual fiddly bits, steering, columns, electrics, mounts, shifters, brake lines, power steer lines, aircon and heater stuff, radiator mounts.

Sounds like a pain in the arse if all you're chasing is a 5 speed and power steer. Both these mods are fairly straight forward on the 47 and there is plenty of info in this forum via a search. Depending on what the "other bits and pieces" are it would be alot of work for not much gain doing the body swap onto a 75. Like cut 80 said, at least swap it onto something wih coils to make it worth while.

Same amount of work as 75, but the 80 chassis is better and wider and has more engine choices.

Mein gott?

That HZJ75 series with the red bumper bar was featured in a 4x4 magazine here about 10 years ago.

I still love the front bumper, and the HJ47 is pimp!
