My neighbour just got a '91 Pajero (round body - Gen2? )

Anyway, it's turbo diesel manual, torsion front, and leaf rear. I've never heard of this being available, so I was wondering if it is imported. Is there anything good about this model? For example, does it have a stronger tcase or lower diff gears or anything like that?

Nam, the only locally (Aus) released Gen 2 leaf spring was the base model (poverty pack) NH model 91-93 it would have a full vinyl interior and either 2.6, 3.0 V6 or 2.5 TDI
All subsequent Gen 2 GL's will be 3.0 or 3.5 V6's.................
As for mods (gears etc) ARB rear locker is available, our 2.85 t/case gears will fit it and 5.29 diffs will go straight in (assumming it has the 7.25" front diff as all 2.5 diesels had). The new front 8" ARB locker will not fit but there are Detroits available for that size diff from Geelong Diffs.
