Whats the best wheel base for Hilux diffs and 33's or 35's?
What are everyones thoughts on the perfect wheel base length?
~100" as every one else has said. Although that is very hard to attain with a swb chassis and even harder if you want to stay with leaves. It is definitely possible but it is highly likely to be unengineerable and will look a bit hoopty (although that's only my opinion).
Shoot a bit lower if you do really tight tracks, a bit higher if you do lots of climbs/descents. In the real world though, it's probably not as important as everyone makes out. Rocbox off here was running a fairly short wheelbase (almost stock I think?) on 36's and lux diffs and he drove 99% of everything with no dramas. WRXZook's shorty is another one with a short wb but still very capable.
So much depends on what you drive and how you drive it.
FWIW I'm shooting for 98" in my lwb. Any longer out the back and I'd hit my fuel tank and any longer out the front and I'd be stretching my chassis, which I don't want to do at this stage.

i run 95" in my LWB with 33's. This was with RUF, 3inch longer leaves in the rear with centre hole 1" back from standard. Its enough to clear fire wall easily, and feels great when climbing while still maintaining a good ramp over angle.
