my handbrake's broke..

Any idea's on how to best make my 80 series handbrake work?? been cleaned adjusted new parts... but still won't hold enough. i've heard u can get aftermarkets parts to help. any ideas?? :?:

yeah got it in there too just though i'd spread my net a bit wider.. its really starting to piss me off haveing crap hand brake

just learn to not use it, always park in gear, i have a friend who NEVER uses his h/break, he grew up on a farm and always parks his truck in gear.

you dont really need it.

its a toyota get used to it.
you can get them to be ok, but they will never be good

there is a kit to change them to transmission brake like a patrol try don kyte spares seen them there other wise get used to it.

i know it a toyota and i know the brakes crap and i always park in gear (otherwise im never sure if my car will b ther when i get back to it). i was just trying to find if any one knows how to improve it.

I have just updated the bible in the toyota section with about 10 links with info, perhaps the mods can lock this thread and all can re-direct their searchings through the bible and reply in those threads.

Marks adaptors do them for the bundy and others for about $600. Not sure if it will fit yours or not.
