Outer Limits 4x4 Board

G'day guys! A mate put me onto this forum after I started having a chat to him about which vehicles I was looking at buying. In the end I think I've settled on an 02 Nissan Navara dual cab, 5pd with the 3.0L V6 engine.




I'm not planning on doing much more with it than using it as a holiday and day trip vehicle, some fire trails and state parks being about the limit of 4WDing. But that's usually how it starts

Any thoughts on the Navara? Reviews I've read online seem pretty good, but I want to make sure I'm not buying a dud.

My mate had a carnt of a time trying to get warranty on the timing chain on his... In the end they accepted and because they took so long, more engine damage was done.

But other than that, It goes well... He doesn't complain too much, just about Nissan.

In case you don't know, they chew the juice.

We had a V6 one for 300,000km's or so and the only problem was overheating due to too much mud in the radiator

Did you consider a diesel? Might be better for you if you plan on keeping it for a while.
