no they are saying they don't make one for the 2.0 update model vitara

they definitely make one for the 1.6 models as stated the 2.0 has a different chassis.

I own a 2.0L 4cyl Vitara & I have looked into modifying a LWB ARB bullbar to fit, they will NOT bolt on!!!

which is very similar to the J20a SWB, it's a fair bit narrower but it's a lot closer than the 1.6 SWB's

well..........i have a 2.0litre v6 chassis in the backyard, all i need is someone with pics of a 2.0litre four pot shorty with its bumper off to compare. if they look very similar i might get around to making an adaptor cradle for the 1.6 bar.

For crying out loud dxkrazed - some of "the guys on here who say they don't even make one" fawking work for ARB in Kilsyth, where they make the fawking bullbars. Trust me, they know what they make in their own factory.

1.6 carby, 1.6 efi and 2.0 vitara use RADICALLY different chassis. ARB do bars for 1.6 efi and 1.6 carby vitaras. They do not do bars for 2.0 litre vitaras.

vitara guy - they mount differently depending on whether you have an EFI or carby vitara.

Mines a 1.6 EFI SWB

Trying to find some pics of the mount points I took.

There is a difference in the 1.6 models, the front bar on mine is a tube and on others it is a flat bar.

With out bumper

suzukiboy, if its a round front bar than i would put my money on the swb 1.6 bar fitting even though yours is efi. the flat cross member is more of a late model thing which i'm trying to suss out.

......and then some

I've had all 4 variations of the Vit, swb 1.6 carby, 1.6 efi lwb, 2.0 V6 lwb and 2.0 swb. The ARB 1.6 swb bar can be adapted to other variants but fabbing is required. It is a good bar though that can handle the abuse.

Hey Joe, i'd be up for one of those! how hard would it be to make one to suit a 3" body lift?

hey atari..thanks for the pic  ..........it looks exactly the same as the v6 chassis in the backyard. if you could pm me say the outside to outside chassis measurement i'll get on the case as currently my v6 has an alloy bar which i'm pissing off for an arb number. i'll get a couple made, i'll try the lwb and you can try the shorty version.

Hey Joe, I think I got those chassis measurement you were looking for. 847mm outside & 757mm inside..... I'd double check to see if they are the same as the v6 & to see if I can measure properly, it was late at night.

Are there plans for it to suit a 2" body lift?
