hey dude, have you been on the locktup4x4 web site?

They sell some wicked stuff there and is quite cheap for what it is, the guys are great to deal with and have used everything on there so they can help you out with pics and info on how to install them and whats best to use...

Best way to start is get out to a comp and have a look or start researching or look at peoples build ups, because every one has a different opinion and a slightly different setup so best to have a look at what comps exactly you are going to drive, then build it up from there.

eg. short course, winch challenge, nav events, outback challenge, etc.

No point doin mods and then regrettin it later or wantin some thing different..

My 2 cents

i agree, he's up your way and a lot of his product is aimed at lux's.

I've seen VERY capable lux's on both leaf springs AND coils. The main thing is that a very capable lux on leaves is going to be a dog on road.

If you want width then your cheapest options are always going to be patrol or landcruiser diff housings. If you go 80x then you will keep diff centres in the right spot and get lots more width. wouldn't be hard to weld spring perches to the housings. Also if you go 80x then you have the option to run longfield cv's if you start breaking gear.

I run the Trail Gear kits front and rear in mine, I am happy with them and they work great.

60s are the same width as an IFS Lux rear and solid front with hub spacers. Unless you are going to run larger than 40s I dont see a problem with the Lux gear.

I would never run Patrol diffs if I was to change it would be to 60s for the bigger centre but then you lose clearance as well.

I wouldnt say mine is on the same level as the DGR Lux but it does alright.
