i am guessing you have a red and black wire coming from the boost gauge. you will need a test light or multi meter to find the wire going from the light switch to your park lights. test them at the plug just down from the switch. which ever one has 12v when you turn your park lights on is the one you need to join the red wire to. just put a round lug on the balck wire and screw it to the body, or to something metal that joins to the body of your car.

What does it say on the box about the wiring?

I connected mine to ignition 12V. So it is always on when ignition (not accessories) is on, not just with lights on. from memory was only 2 wires? was autometer

the 3rd wire could be an illumination wire that dims the gauge light when you put the lights on.

my cheap pyro has +ve, -ve and illum wires as its needs these to work. might be the same on your boost gauge.
