Bundera Ute

I've fixed the rust to the best of my ability/funds, and the gutters are starting to crack again so I'm playing with the idea of a bundera ute.

Take 75series troopy, ditch the cab/body, whack on a bundy and a tray behind it.
Hoping to keep the 1HZ and all the running gear, What are the problems I'd be facing?
Can I keep the front panels and wheel arches etc and bolt the bundy up tp that or are they different sizes? What wont line up?

Yeah, it would be easier. But I don't like single cabs. And everyones got a 75 ute. I want something different.

the troopys front end will bolt to the bundy cab, the bundys front end is alot shorter than the troopys

That's what I wanna hear. I thought it'd be smaller. Just not sure that the 1HZ will fit in a bundy

yeah it would be fairly tight, what you going to do about the rear wheel arches? fill them?

getting stuff in and out of the back would be a mission too if you didn't put some sort of do in there?

Thought maybe remove the fan and put a thermo in. Or use the 75 front end. But that makes the tray smaller and smaller. Wheel arches I'd make into toolboxes. I'd say I'll need to cut the back of the bundy to form wheel arches further back. Not sure what I'll do about access to space behind the rear seat. That could be a b!tch.

yeah the bundy rad can be modded to sit further forward too, it sits a long way back in the bay, but the 1hz is a really long motor

So has anyone else tried this?
Does anyone else had problems mating a bundy with a 75 series, especially the front end?
Any tips/hints/suggestions?

The bigger the cab the smaller the tray. Even a shorty wont leave me much out back

the other thing that might be a worry is i think the bundy body/cab sits in the same place on the chassis as a "cruiser" and the chassis is shorter at the front, the front tube cross member on the cruiser isn't there on the bundy

so there may be no length gain from using the bundy cab, may be better off running a a f/bj70 cab for ease of fit on the troopy chassis

this is only observations that I've sorta seen between my bundy and mate troopy
