question about glow plug setup

I am putting a td42 in my once tb45 gu. Just wondering if i can set up the glow plug relays etc off the tb45 ignition barrel. Does the glow box just need power and then it does the rest by itself or what???

The timing unit gets a signal for engine temp, from the cooling system somewhere. I just re wired my glow plugs with a momentary switch to the existing relay, works fine, yet to have a sub 15 deg. morning though.
