Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I just put a deposit on my first 4WD and first suzuki.

Its a 2008 Trekker with about 4000km on the clock.

It was owned by a bloke and his missus, who were meant to go on holiday around Australia and tow it around with them.

Something happend, I think to do with his health, and it was too uncomfortable for him to drive.

Im not really into serious 4WD, its to get me around for a few hunting and fishing trips, here and there.

I want to eventually put a bull bar of some sort, driving lights, a UHF radio and some better tyres.



As far as the bull bar is concerned, I can't seem to find much, I've been trying to find out whether or not a Sierra bar will fit easily or with little modification.

Any advice?

the trekker is just a GV with extras... should be able to get a TJM or ARB bar for it, or if you know someone whos good on the tools they could fabricate one.

dont bother asking about tyres on here, think of the terrain youll do most of and buy based on that =) as for tyre size, dont increase more than about 10% or youll be looking at changing gear/diff ratios to compensate.

Other than that, drive it stock as long as you can bare - then modify one thing at a time with a month or two between mods so you can truly establish what will be more beneficial to do next, and appreciate each mod as you do it.

Personally if i had a GV i'd be looking into a 2" spring kit and some decent muddies, followed by a locker of some sort.
