Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I bought the mounting kit off buddcustoms on ebay to mount the 60 series steering box up to the 47 series chassisonly there are no real directions. I know how to do it in a round about way , but is the shorter fishplate for the inside or the outside and how far back from the front of the bare chasis do I mount the box. I have it as just a bare chassis at the moment and want to get the box mounted before I paint the chassis.

I had actually asked him during the buying process. Whether he forgot or had other reasons for not answering , I dont know. I have been looking through the bible and on mud but cant find a measurement anywhere. I was sort of hoping I could find someone who has done the conversion and they could measure theirs for a measurment.

I think youll find a picture in a thread on the conversion of a 47 to 60 steering of someone holding a measuring tape against the frame rail, with the end on one of the bolt holes for box and the measurement shown against the bumper gusset at the front.. I'm sure the link to the conversion is in the bible.

I had another look at the picture with the tape in the bible, he's not on center of the bolt, cant read the tape, and what do you reference it against ?

Whats your email address, I have a fitting instruction sheet. But actual location on the chassis rails all depends on your axle location.

the plate with the 18mm holes is the outer the plate with 12.5mm holes is the inner, depending on your final location you may have to trim the inner plate for the front cross member.
