Hi all, great forum BTW :)

Just wondering if anyone has tried an HID conversion on the Nite Stalker 215 (IPF copy) rectangular lights.......looking at mine I get the feeling it should be feasible without too much grief, but if somebody has done then so much the better for me!

Cheers

Hey greg,
I have done a few. Just a simple globe swap (by memory it's a H3 but don't quote me) The only issue is you don't get as much light out of the rectangular spotties as you would out of a round, but that is just as true for std halogen. We even have ballasts small enough to fit inside the housing so you don't have to mount them externally.

Thx mate for the reply, I am told the slimline ballasts are not as reliable or robust as the standards, do you have an opinion on this, or it it a wives tale?

Our slim line ballast are generation 7 ballasts. That means they are almongst the most reliable ballast you can get. They have a failure rate of .07% that is less than 1 in every 1000. i have had them in water and mud and they still work we have not had any back all the kits we have sold . if you are at round one you can see them working in a set of XGT well you will see the XGT but not the ballast as they will be inside the light :P :P
So yes it is a wives tale.
