The first pic is from the gearbox crossmember looking back. The arrow is pointing to the flange at the gearbox crossmember.

This is looking over the diff (driver's side to passenger side).

This one is looking from the tip back towards the front of the car. You cant see the U-bend, but you can see where it comes back down to the muffler.

This one is looking up from the ground, showing the U-bend.

Enjoy!

 thanks coxy for doing that . i better explain it a bit more in-depth. my gq wagon has a 350chev with 3inch body lift . my exhaust shop built me a twin 2 1/4 of the extractor's into a single 3 inch mandrill bent system that was dumped just before the back diff. we got the gas tank put in place of the petrol tank. now the gas is fitted we have to keep the pip 55mm away from the gas tank with a heat shield. since i have about 3inch space between body and chassis i want to run the rest of my exhaust system in 2 1/2inch up over the back diff. then run it over the top of the spring perch/shock mount strait along the top of the chassis rail past the end of gas tank and out the back in between my back barn doors and that silver step. finish it of with a oval shaped tip of a commodore. I'm sure someone has don this already thanks

Shit. Sounds like they have their work cut out for them. Any reason why you cant route it the same as stock? Or is the gas tank in the road now?

I'd be inclined to keep it as simple as possible to keep costs down, and also to make it easier to replace sections as they will most likely get trail damage.

I'd have to check on the amount of existing clearance, but a 2" body lift might help you getting more clearance over that crossmember if things are tight.

also consider heat to the floor, as its a petrol.

even with a gas tank, it should still be able to be routed as per original.
mine was on gas with 2.5inch system and fitted.

if i read correctly, are u trying to fit it over the top of the gas tank and out the back between the body and the rear bar/step....since u have agap from the body lift etc?
if so, i dont think that will work, or be a good idea.

or just relocate your gas tank, raise it the 50mm from your body lift and shift it over a little, then keep your exhaust stock :D itll cost less that way ;)

wont the pipe be practicly sitting on the top of the gas tank if you go over it?

This sequence probably explains perfectly why you should also provide some decent detail to your questions when looking for help. There's a big difference from the implications of the first question to the facts of the second explanation which might limit time wasting guesses. ;)

ya right' think ill go edit a referral to the second more in depth explanations. still not explained right. no its straight LPG tank in place of the petrol tank. no i don't wont to run it over top of LPG tank. and i don't want to run it same as stock. the tail pipe will get hammered on rocks. see the photos that show the pipe looping up over the diff then dropping down in between the shock and petrol tank/bash plate and along the standard route that gos out the back underneath passenger side chassis rail. that's not the way i want to do it. i want muffler pipe looping up over the diff staying up hi running over the top of back passenger side spring mount between floor and top passenger's side chassis rail. there is over 3inch body lift between floor and top of chassis. gas tank is not as wide as the petrol tank .also room to slide gas tank over to give another 1 or 2 inches gap. enough room there to run 2 1/2inch pipe? i seen a GQ at Tough truck 06 or 07 that gave me this idea but it was a Ute/chop might find it or one like it out there tomorrow ill get photos. if not hope someone has photos of this job i will show the muffler shops how its don . rest of the system is all pre mandrel bent so if i find someone to do this part of the gob in mandrill bends ill be la-fen. if i have to use flexi truck pipe might be OK? maybe look for that apprentice ho loves showing you how good he is?
