I've been told only passenger car tyres too.
Here's the actual advert if anyone's interested. The person to buy 3 MTR's and get one free will be a lucky person!!

And of course you cant read the fine print in that add, you could argue and win i believe as customs regard 4wd's as passenger vehicles. I need 3 new bfg at's to go with the 1 new 1 i already have.

I spoke to another goodyear autocare today and was told that mud tyres are not included and the tyres MUST be instock at that store.

Thats weird. Last week I called the local Goodyear dealer and they said they would do the MTR in the deal. Only thing was the RRP was $498 for 315/75/16.

goodyear at morayfield just fitted a set of 285/75 wrangler silent armors to my old mans 80 with that deal cost him $1070 fitted, balanced, wheel alignment, and with a life time puncture repair so if he gets a flat its fixed for free no matter how many times he does

Thats amazing price.. Considering they are now retail of $427each ($2135 a set), place I deal with that usually gets them for bulk lower than others, can only do $350-370ea on them now in a 285 no rims.
Go back and buy another 5 sets at that price. I would.
Edit: thats almost worth buying them and freighting them down here. I need 3 for the trailer

Although the MT/R has "Silent Armour" on the sidewall I think the "Wrangler Silent Armour" tyre is the AT - look at

this was from the goodyear on the nicklin way, sunny coast.
i had to get them ordered in.
p.s they've had a set of 37s instock for AGES, i bet they'd still be there

The silent Armor are a slightly more agressive tyre than the ATR (which do not come in 285/75/16) .

I picked up my 32" MTR's last week with the buy 3 get 1 free deal. My dealer had to order them in. Only thing is that they wouldn't drop below the RRP of the tyres which was $380ea for mine so i paid $1140 for all 4 MTR's fitted and balanced. I couldn't even get Maxxis Bighorns for that price anywhere. I rang a few places and most wanted about $420+ea for the tyres, even though their RRP was $380...
My dealer also said
"It's up to the individual dealer/outlet as to whether or not they will honour the deal for anything other than passenger car tyres."
So basically if they don't feel like it or aren't making much money from the deal then they won't do it by choice.
Also, Goodyear were advertising the deal on Brisbane television last week and the TV ad said "Deal applies to passenger and 4wd tyres"...
cheers
