cutting sills

hey guys i have a 1990 swb vitara witha 2" suspension lift and thinking of getting a 2" body lift and i ws wondering if i should also cut off my sills and how hard it is to do and also how to get a clean finish at the end

any pics or inforation would be awsome

i dunno much about vits but i am curious, what seals and why do you need to cut them?

hi mate
do you mean the black plastic door sills?
if so then, i did it to mine easily the only thing you have left is 7-8 square holes about 1cm squared on either side.
here is a picture of mine before

after (i have put electrical tape over it now until i find out how to fill them up)

i smashed my grey plastic sill things off on rocks..
now i have 2 inches extra clearance under my doors... with the sills pressed all the way up

I chopped the sills on my old zook, here are some pics..

Hey corrupt, did you weld any of that or just use rivets? I need to do a similar fix on mine & not sure which way to go yet. Do you have any pics of the underside where you attached the sheet metal to the inside of sill/body?

Just rivets on the visable sides, then bogged over, no pis of underside, just welded to the bottom of floor.
