hi there wonting to fit pto to my NG pajero is a 3.0 auto petrol.I have only seen factory pto fitted to desile powerd pajeros befor i have a winch out of a old diesil.Just wonderd if the pto drive gears will sink with the auto gears? :?: if so has enyone fitted a pto to a 3.0 auto.will the exaust / trans pipes or selector linkages need modifying cause thay look to be about where the drive shaft would run ?Would like advice from some one who has done this job befor( if it is do-able) ;)

I think your biggest problem will be to get the PTO drive to mesh with the transfer case gears - They don't mate to the V6 gearbox's.

But the shafts and everything should be ok with the V6, not sure about the auto however...

Thats correct all parts will fit as per a Gen 1 diesel but the PTO gears won't mesh with the t/case.
early diesel = 1.944 t/case
3.0 V6 = 1.925 t/case
The 4 cylinder/diesel t/case is essentially the same unit but the gears are a lot chunkier plus a different ratio.
