Guys,

Whats the best way to change a Bundy Clutch:

1. Disconnect front and rear drive shafts, bellhousing from engine and drop gearbox and transfer case down on crossmember.
2. Remove gearbox from transfer case and unbolt bellhousing from engine (not sure this can be done)
3. Remove engine.

Cheers

option 1 and 3 are viable. to pull the transfer off the gearbox you have to completely dismantle the transfer, so unless you want to put a transfer kit through it while you're down there, don't do that.

I can do these on my own by pulling the front seats and carpet, then removing the transmission access panel, set up a bar across thefront of the cab with a chain block, and using the block to lower/lift the trans into position.

if you have an assistant, it's faster and easier (arguably) to use a tall jack underneath to get the gearbox in/out.

if your engine comes out pretty easily/has plenty of clearance/not too much plumbing/wiring to r&r, I guess you could do it this way , but you still have to manhandle the gbox off the motor once you have it all on the floor.
