Had them in 35x12.5x15 on a GQ patrol LWB.
Great tyre IMO. Worked well in all terrains and seemed to be wearing ok on the road too. Sold the truck with them still on it.
Road noise not comparatively high and they seemed alright in the wet too.
Would definitely run again with no hesitation.

best road based tyre i have ever had. I had 315 75 16 on my GU.
I have also had:
BFG Mud
BFG all
Goodyear MTR
Swampers
Cooper ST
Interco Trxus
The Xterrain was the best by far for all rounder, only tyre better offroad was the swamper.
great mileage and AWESOME on wet bitumen.

Had 315/75R16 and 37x 12.5r16.
Terrific all rounder particularly the 37's.
35x12.5r15s won the Outback.
Also like the Xtreme Mud Terrain.

I have the 37's on my cruiser
have the 35's on a GQ Ute
They are Brilliant onroad, less noise than any same sized/compounded equivalent.
In the sand they perform better than any tyre bar scoops, they air down realy well and hold the bead to around 5psi.
They have Heavy side walls and great puncture resistance.
The GQ has done 1000's of offroad kms on them, 4 competitions and numerous outings, they are worn but still very usable.
They grip real well on the rocks.
The only bad things i can say about them is their self cleaning in thick sticky clay is abismal (but nothing 3rd gear and 4000rpm cant spin off)
They are hard to balance
Tend to peel off the bead at the most inappropriate times...
In finishing, they are a great road/offroad tyre that can handle alot of abuse. If you get into the sloppy mud alot, get another set of play tyres.

i've had the same set of x-terrains for 2 years 35-12.5-15 on a daily driver. i've had simex' and bfg muddies on the side but they're a long time sold.
I have used them in every situation mud, clay, beach, desert, bog holes, rock, snow, touring, ive done 160km/h on 15psi (not smart) and they stood up. 15psi will get u most places but sub 5psi on beadlocks and they're unstoppable.
i've not put one plug in them over 40 000km and they are wearing extreamely well. i'd dare say they're at about 50-60%.
the only con i can think of is i slashed one on a ShortyIQ STUBBY wasn't impressed! tho not so good in thick clay for their self cleaning properties.
when ppl ask what they're like i say, for the first 5000km theyll out drive simexs anywhere. after then they are the absolute best all terrain you can get!
i'd change their name to x-allterains

Pro's:
* Good straight line grip
* Good in most terrains.
* Handle well on the road
* Wear rate seems good
Con's:
* Sidewalls are too thin/weak - seen first hand three sidewall tears on three different trucks, all 35's, tore from the bead to the tread
* Tend to spin on the rim too easily. Would be suited to beadlocks.
* Not much lateral/sideways grip.
* Tend to get clogged up in heavy situations.

In the pic below I have tried to demonstate, the big lug is high at one side then curves to low on the other side, it then makes the low side lower than the small lug in front of it, which gives it the very low speed vibration. They were a great tyre till they started wearing like that.

That wear is known as scalloping.. usually pressure related.. Xterrains always look like the tread is shallow from new to me.. anyone know the size of the treadblocks?

scalloping also caused by wheel alignment and incorrect/worn shockers and spring combo

I've run 33x12.5x15 on my Bundera for a couple of years now. I'm pretty impressed with most aspects of the X Terrain. Road noise is there but is bearable.
I've had them in mud, snow, sand, clay, pretty much everything and the only real problems I found was the sideways grip. As you get that gap that almost runs straight through from one side to another, you can lose out on lateral grip. I found while going around some muddy corners I had to give some throttle to overcome some unwanted sideways movement.
Otherwise I've been happy with them, they have some good sidewall bite, and with airing down sand and rocks are fine.
