I hope I don't get hammered for this, I have searched, but I can't get the right word combination to get what I need to know.I'm sure I read a thread about putting a swift twincam head on a g16. I want to know if this was the case, What actually I need to start chasing up ,how to tell between MK 1 and MK 2 and 3 heads (as I was told not to get a Mk1), If anyone has done this and what was it like. Once done, it will get fully programable computer system and if still not happy was thinking of supercharger, and also try turbo so as I can determine which suits my requirements. Basically I want my LWB to go up hills with little gear changing while towing various size boats for trips around east coast. Also have a coil sprung sierra which I will graft to the LWB, Planning complete rebuild of the sierra and want to get every thing before I start.Advice and help appreciated

i would try looking at suzuki swift dedicated/ relevant forums as they would likely have more of a wealth of information on the engine setups

there has been several discusions on this and basically you are better off just installing a sohc 16v vitara 1.6

After owning both a g16b and a g16b/gti twin can hybrid, I can't recommend highly enough that you stick to the standard vitara/baleno g16b.
The hybrid just ISNT WORTH IT for 4x4 driving.
The extra power is achieved at an rpm that is far from ideal for offroad use.
Your money would be better spent on a g16b conversion with some transfer gears.

id say go the g16b vitara engine, i heard with the gti heads you need high rpm for 4x4ing you wear out clutches fast unless you get super super low gears then its better because you have more revs to play with
