1hdt oil usage / turbo seal worries..

Hey guys,
A few more questions in regards to white smoke and oil usage? I will post this on lcool as well to get their advise so if you are on both forums sorry for the double up.
The story so far:
- bought the 80 recognised some oil on the front of the bellhousing cover behind the turbo
- notice a bit of smoke when under load or on boost
- had leaking rocker cover gasket and had it replaced last week
- checked oil yesterday and noticed it didn't register on the dipstick
- added just under 4lt of the same weight oil (not same brand though) missed the hole a bit before i got a funnel to add the rest.. oil level went up to F on the dipstick.
- went to move the car yesterday arvo after a bit of a drive (it had only been sitting about 1hr) so still warm and it produced a big cloud of white smoke on startup
- drove it into shed to remove rocker cover and take pics
- started up to park on the street and another big cloud of smoke
- check this morning and no big cloud of smoke but noticed some oil on the undercarriage (not on the ground where it was parked though).
- there was some slight whitish smoke at idle though
- engine , turbo and fuel system rebuild approx 80,000kms ago (with receipts and confirmed with mechanic who did it).
Now I'm a bit concerned that a seal might have gone in the turbo which might explain the white-ish smoke under acceleration and why it produced a mega cloud of smoke on start up.
I have plans to go away over easter weekend (approx 500kms round trip) and I'm very cautious about driving the 80 that far when something seems a miss. because if the seals on the turbos go I dont want to risk farking the engine due to leaking turbo seals.
Can anyone offer any cheap easy tests to confirm what is the problem (confirm turbo seals are gone) before I book the turbo in to get fixed. If there are any hoses to check for oil?
I still need to check oil usage after yesterdays approx 100km drive. There appears to be a bit of oil collecting under the turbo which leads me to believe it could be the culprit.
I have searched here, lcool and google and read a lot of posts which seem to indicate turbo seals..
pics (looking up from under the turbo)
(you can see oil pooling under bolts ,etc)
Thanks,
Andrew
