Super Swamper IROKs, Boggers or TSLs???

Hi all!

Done a search but no go.

Ive decided to get some 37'' swampers but i cant decide on the tread pattern. Wondering what the pro's and cons are for each pattern, what you have used for what conditions you've been driving in? These will just be play tyres so i dont care how they are on the road.

Cheers

Steve

what about what conditions YOU drive on?
What vehicle you have?
What size rim?

Not all Swampers are available in 37 and in all rim sizes

IROK's wear out quick
37 Boggers are tiny boggers
Tsl's are great all rounder but every one has them

I have just recently gotten a set of 36x13.5x16 Iroks they measure close enough to 37s to not worry about it. Have been really happy with them but the only other bias tyre I have run were claws.

Mine are on a Lux and have had them in mud, rock and loose dirt seem good in all conditions so far.

Having said I have not given them a real hard workout yet either as I need my gears first

Cheers lads!

Tracks in the blue mountains, wattagans ect... bit of everything xcept sand.
Got a gq patrol cab chass.
Rims will be 15x8's.

Why are 37 boggers tiny boggers??? Only 37's??

Which are the toughest also?? Strength wise not sex apeal.

Cheers

From my experience i have only ever used boggers and TSL's

I like the tsl and think they are a great tyre, but they dont seem to wear consistantly, i bought 4 tyres at the same time and they range from 70% to 20%tread and no one can give me an anwser why.

Boggers on the other hand I think are one of the most over rated tyre going around, but I will say they are great in the mud and sloppy crap.

Just because it says 37' it does not mean it measure 37' tall

I think most of the swampers are resonably tuff as far as tyre go

STIKA: Is that 70% to 20% on the same tyre? Ie oval shaped?

Cheers

No

that one tyre at 20% on at 70% and the other 2 wearing at around the 50% to 60% but weraring at different rates.

have a look here for overall tyre sizes

http://www.intercotire.com/tires.php

I would be edging towards the 38' TSL

Couldn’t honestly tell you, I have had them for about 5 years now and they have been mainly used offroad.

I would drive on them somewhere between 4hr-8hr a month as well as comps

You can get 37 inch Creepys for $375 and delivery for $15-20 from the link below, they might have a good price for Trepadors.

There's fad tyres and then there's swampers.

You'll notice that interco do very little marketing anywhere, but there's always someone out there kicking everyones arse on them. They just work.

Interco's website gives a pretty good list of actual sizes.

Steve.

Wrong, Bro's got 38.5x15 (I think) and they are BIG. It's just some size's. Most brands have a few odd size's like that.

They where on an under powered 40. So the motor or clutch would give before the broke traction. I'd run them again.

Love my TSL swampers they work on what I like (Rock, dirt etc) They may not be the fanciest or prettiest but neithers my GQ Patrol wagon but hey they work really good.
The SX's are a very strong tyre, simply read the blogs in Intercos site for the differences. Horses for courses. I'll go TSLs again.
Have just been told by a tyre mob in Brissy (at the 4wd show) that they are getting rediculously dear to bring into Aus :?:  so if you can get them cheap go for it now!!!

Im a big fan of the TSL, and if you are wanting a 37, you are outta luck. Its either 36 x 12.5 or 38 x 12.5. You can beat tall and skinny!!

I have had good sucess with 16/38.5-15LT nad never had any dramas with wheel wobble up 100km/h (with no balancing atall)

I had a mate with the 38x12.50-15LT and he couldn't drive past 60km/h for about the first 2km untill the beltec found where it was suspose to sit
