HELP g16b huge oil leak from under timing belt cover??

have just finished my g16b efi conversion into sierra.
warmed her up for ten minutes, quick once over, everything seemed great.

after 5 minutes of driving, busted a massive leak from the front of the engine (hard to tell where from after the engine fan spreads it everywhere).

we suspected it was the sump, which had no cork gasket, just hi-temp Cookie, so dropped the sump, cleaned up and put a cork gasket in.

went for another drive, same huge leak, lost 500ml oil. it appears to be coming from under the timing belt cover. anyone had this on a vit motor.

i am aware that if the timing belt cops oil it should be changed,

im supposed to be packing the zook for a trip this easter w/e.
what the hell do i do???

remove fan and both timing covers. clean area. start and look for where the leak is. fix or replace problem.
should take half hr to diagnose the problem.

It is most likely either youre cam or crank seals, mine shat a crank seal in a big way not long after conversion also.
Good news is they are easy to replace.

I would go with PJ's suggestion. Remove the timing cover and have a look.
