Oil pressure will not go more than 100psi, p/s will be 1700-2600psi.

You can, but why would you pay for a 2600psi working pressure hose when you can use say for example a 500psi or less line?

The Pirtek man has used 2600psi line on my PAS, 500psi on the ATF cooler lines and the oil lines I've done with pressure barb fittings but less again I think.

Yep the PAS hoses are effectively massive overkill for oil filter flow.

So you could use them. Or sell them and use less overkillish stuff.

Watch the temp rating on the remote oil filter hoses. Most hydraulic based hoses, used to make aftermarket PS hoses, are usually rated to 93'C. Engine oil can, and will run hotter than this, reducing hose life. Most automotive PS systems run about 900 - 1500 psi.

Cloth covered R5 type hydraulic lines as commonaly used on Yank HD truck engines (Cummins, Detroit, etc), has a higher rated working temp and is ideal for engine oil/cooler/filter lines. Earls/Speedflow type stuff is good if you want it to look pretty too :D

Never use barb and hose clamps on engine oil lines, use crimped or screw on type fittings. They cost a bit more, but a fair bit less than an engine rebuild.

These are all still multibarb fittings.
