him all i have just got a 4be again after a little while , its a rb30 patrol doesnt go to bad but am thinking of putting a 308 under the bonnet , if any one has done the conversion could let me know how it went , ie petrol consumption im pretty sure the power was better , any info would be great oh yeah its a 90 model witch is gq i think cheers

if you look around you may find a few dozen threads where people have done V8 conversions, and all your answers maybe there.. Your not creating the wheel.

yeah i have done a search but nothing seems to come up when search for v8 patrol or v8 conversion , maybe im doing wrong thats what the wife saids all the time any way

Yeah the search kinda sucks for some things,
Try typing "V8 and Patrol" or "V8 and Conversion" sometimes
helps for me.

I don't think you'll find that many people who put a 308 in and are all that happy with the outcome vs the hassle.

Yeah you'd be better off turboing the RB30 than going to all the hassle and only fitting a 308.
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)

Test drove a GQ Wagon Injected 5.0 with auto.
Very Dissapointed in its preformance.
Bought a GQ Wagon with a 350 Chev!! :) ;)

have a read of nuttergq 's build up ie turbo rb30 gq.

unless goin hi tech v8 ie vh45 or uz anything under 5.7l is a waist of time in N/A setup.

Everyones on the right track for a 308 to make the same power as a basic turbo setup on an RB30 you'll have to spend some serious money, do it once do it right.
