Will an oil filter (sandwich) adaptor plate on a J20A fit?

I'm looking into installing a couple of oil senders (pressure and temp) on my J20A GV. I was going to use a sandwich plate but the clearance looks a little too close, maybe 1" from the engine mount. I think the sandwich plate is 1.5" thick.

Has anyone installed a sandwich plate on a J20A in a GV before? Are there any other options if it won't fit that are quick, easy and cheap?

I have an image on flickr but I can't seem to upload it correctly.

Thanks for the tip about pics.

Will look into getting a shorter filter, but doesn't that reduce the capacity of the filter then?

Why not just put a T-piece on where the original sender is now for the new senders unit?

Wouldn't that be easier?

Good point. You wouldn't happen to know where the sender is would you?
