GQ diffs in a surf

Post by Outer Limits Hilux »

G"day all.

Was thinking of gettin the GQ diffs ($1000 for both) in the xtra cab surf... i wanted to do the front first and leave the back till a little later, i'm just not sure if the ratios are the same. i have a std rear diff and g/box...

Penny for your thoughts lads, and you must admit... it's not that bad of an idea, even if it's using nissan gear...

Anyone done it before?
Wanted.... 4.88 or 4.56 front GQ diff center. Also wanted... GQ rear diff complete.

Why don't you use 60 series diffs, exactly the same track width as an IFS Surf, seems silly to muck around with Nissan gear.

But you may have a reason we don't know of.

Cheers

It has been done heaps, Cheezy does them down south. The only real concern is the huge diff pumpkins, so you are going to have to like having a high truck.
