Jimny Front Spring Questions

Post by spamwell »

I am trying to work out what front springs i want to use in the front of my coil sierra.

I have jimny upper coil seats and vitara rear diff coil seats as my lowers on the diff.

The springs i am using are great in the rear but seem to be to stiff for up travel in the front of my car. I am thinking a set of jimny front springs will offer me a better spring for the application.

Assumptions i am going by are:

Jimny relatively similar weight in the front to coil sierra
Jimny springs being able to fit vitara rear lower coil seats
Jimnys getting better uptravel than mine lol

Questions i have are :

Is there a different part number per side to make up for any lean in the front of a jimny ?
When your jimny is loaded up are the springs sitting at equal lengths left and right?
Does anyone have a Jimny that have a spring that is 35cm long when in the car on the passengers side.

To get my car to sit level at the moment i have the same springs either side but my passenger side springs sits at 35cm and my drivers side spring sits at 32cm i have made up for this different with a poly coil spacer and i think 10mm in the mounting itself.

anyway any help will be appreciated.
