thanks for all the pics! the LHS is nice & easy, the RHS can be a bit of a bitch. I'm surprised your not running free wheeling hubs?

yes i have heard all the talk about manual hubs but im lazy.

Thanks for the pics Tim. May help when I have to change them on my '04 GV. Why did you have to change the CV ? Just worn out or stuffed due to the lift and big tyres ?

Oops. Can happen anytime we take our toys out to play. I had an old subaru years ago and lost count of how many CV's and clutches I broke. Was getting to the stage I could do them pretty quickly.

i was trying to get up a hill and just cought the right bank, the left side must have got airborne for a seconed and slammed down while my foot was on the floor, snap a cv every time.
i have had it for 5years now so i have done ok.
i was with zuknutter ( 90mm lift Jimny ) and he struggled on the same hill but from the days play i could see the lack of articulation in the front lets it down. still i out drove some hiluxes on the day
