3rz oxygen sensors?? Do they have them?

Just a quick question, do the Australian 3rz's from Hiluxes run an oxygen sensor in the exhaust?
Or how about a Prado with the 3rz?
Just something I've been wondering about but can't find any info on the net regarding Australian 3rz's, only the yank ones...

none of them come from sepo land or aus, there all japan aka korea imports. Why are you interested in the o2 sensor, they all run a o2 sensor for correction from the map, maf.

I just wrecked an 03 2wd it had an O2 sensor in the engine pipe just in front of the gearbox crossmember.

I did a conversion into my 4runner, and the wreckers said they don't run them as it was a commercial engine. Been getting relatively pitiful economy and was wondering if they were meant to be running them.
The ecu has pins for oxy sensors, so was wondering if I get one installed and wire it up to the ecu whether it would work... I guess if they did come out with them, then I should be able to fit one no probs and it should just work, well thats the theory anyway
Next question, are they a 4-wire or 2-wire sensor (ie. heated or not heated) ? If they are heated, I have some spare commodore v6 sensors lying around that may work, not too sure...
Cheers guys

I suppose I was being a bit dramatic saying the economy was "pitiful". I'm basically getting around 400kms or just over from a tank regardless of the type of driving (around town or cruising). Was expecting more on cruising, but that may have something to do with the 4.88 diff gears...
Just trying to improve things in any way possible.

I have a stock 03 2wd hilux and it has no oxygen sensors. I was getting around 400 to a 60L tank and was pretty unimpressed. I threw the stock intake in the bin and made a whole new one with aluminium pipe and silicone hose. Made up a cold air box to sit behind the R/H head light, removed the clutch fan and fitted twin thermos. Also fitted an 8" thermo in front of the condensor. I now get 600k to a tank city cycle and over 700 on the highway (haven't used a whole tank on the highway yet) and my air con is freezing. I have been thinking of fitting O2 sensors to get better fuel economy.

600kms to a tank?!?! Holy crap I wish I was getting that! I'd be happy with 500kms! I don't really want to fit thermo fans as I want to keep the clutch fan to avoid any issues with mud or water getting into it. As for the intake, mine is custom due to having gas research carby fitted. The economy was poor before I had the gas research fitted, and it drives exactly the same on petrol before and after the conversion so its not due to the gas stuff.
Will be easy enough to fit oxy sensors, but whether the ecu is programmed to use them if I simply wire them up is another question. I may need a new ecu from a model that did have oxy sensors.

I would imagine you would have to turn the oxy sensor on in the ECU. The computer would be set up to run closed loop from factory. Could be done, but you would need the program to do it.
