Hi all,

Been a member of outers for a number of years, but only just come over to the Nissan forum after selling my 99 TD Pajero a couple of months back and buying a 99 4.2td GU Patrol. Its totally standard (apart from the roofrack that I grafted on from the Paj), so is a clean canvas to work with.

I also have an 88 Sierra in the family, which my daughter and myself rebuilt for a school project.

You can read the build thread here http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/ftopic141586.php if you are interested.

Now to my question !

Im installing a bypass oil filter arrangement onto the TD42t engine in the Patrol (as I run Amsoil synthetic oil) and was wondering if anyone knows of a plug or oil return line that goes directly into the sump ?
If one exists, this may be easier to setup than modifying the rocker cover to accept the return hose from the filter. The filter feed will be taken from the oil pressure sender port and an oil sampling port also added.

This set up worked really well on my Pajero, with oil changes around the 20,000km mark attainable(with oil sampling along the way !), so im hoping for similar results with the Patrol.

Ill take some pics along the way and start a thread of the install.

Thanks in advance
