hey folks,

a mate is about to buy a GV (03, V6) also and an inspection report has come back saying that the "yoke seal" needs replacing. do you think it would be reasonably safe to assume this would be the oil seal on the back of the xfer case? could there be greater implications that he should be looking out for prior to making the decision to buy or not?

cheers
Mark.

Jock thats a pretty bad yolk, even by outers standards.

On a serious note, to answer youre question, ive always known the yoke seal as the transmission output seal that is allowed to slip in and out on splines.
