Looking at a new set of rubber this week.
I am interested in trying the new BFGs in 35x12.5/15 or 315x75/16( Have rims for both.)
My local dealer says the 15s are still 6 weeks away, buy 16s are in stock.
Looking at them is the shop the sidewalls look alot thicker/stronger than the other radials on the market.
Was keen on my 3rd set of Claws, but i have had sidewall damage in the past.
Keen to give the BFGs ago.

anyone had any experience with the new muddy yet !!!!

cheers

Grant.

mate has them on his GU and i saw him the other day after about 6000kms driving to the fink and back.

he says they are wearing pretty well, but are suffering chunking a bit.

I have a set on my GU, had them on there a while and they are wearing well, they clear themselves well and seem to be doing well in the rocks and stuff.. next time ill get a set of Mickey T's, there a bit cheaper but were unavailable at the time i needed tyres...

From 4wdmonthly forum.
Hi
I run the BFG muds on my 100series and love them. (KM1)
I also run the BFG muds on my work car (Nissan patrol coil cab ute, work is to tight to let me get a 79) and I recently fit two new KM2 muds on the rear and the were going great. good in mud, dirt and bitumen but with less than 5000k on them both sidewalls went within two days of each other. The first I put down to a stake but the second looks like the side wall just split.
Has anyone else had any problems with the KM2 or am I just unlucky?
I'd wait for the new kevlar MTR
well. my hubby has been a big mtr fan and so have I they do great on rock
mud a different story.....the sidewalls are super tough, the new ones are
impressive with the sidewalls so thick that an unmounted tire with all my weight could not be compressed.

Two guys have them and they seem great in mud and rock, the new tread
pattern with the asymetrical pattern seem to really clear the mud....
so....we will see how they match up to my nitto mud grapplers...
aired down completely to 5psi they dont even look low.....
$420 a tyre.
the 15s are going to be priced at $365 to get a few sets into the market.
