tie rods on 60

hey guys i just replaced the tie rod ends on my 60 its got a 2" lift and 33 coopers i just noticed that the tie rod end has rubbed on one of the balance weights on the rim. it just seems that the tie rod is a bit close to the rim what can be done

sounds like youve got the wrong rims.

Wrong backspacing.

yeah i bought this a couple of months ago fr a project is there spacers available or just get new rims

you can get spacers. Probably the same price as new rims though, if they are just 15" sunraysias (spelling?)

Had the same problem, you can get 6mm spacers and the prob is fixed. Not sure of price, now where near the price of rims, it was years ago now. Got them from your local tire pro.

your right, 6mm would be quite cheap as they dont need to take new studs etc like the 1-2" ones do.

Have you got the correct rim offsets? I had the same issue with my cruiser offset 16'' rims, I fitted hilux IFS hubs and eliminate problems, spacers really arent the best idea

Im not 100% certain but i think you might have patrol offset rims bud.

not sure what offset they are when i get back to perth i will go to a tyre place and find out and see what can be done
