Seems the hand brake light likes to stay on. Correct me if im wrong but i thought its a warning light for brake fluid or clutch fluid levels, in which case both are full. Could it possibly be a short? Just annoying thats all...

Have you checked the switch on the actual handbrake lever?

last time i looked at a problem like that rats had chewed through the wiring to the brake fluid resivor, so check wiring as well.

also if you have a diesel it doubles as a low vacum alarm for the brake/clutch booster

On GQ's its usually the little metal tab broken off, on the side of the handbrake lever thats pushes the little button switch in when you release the handbrake, or the switch itself

I fixed it. Had a look at the brake fluid level. It was down a bit bit still above the low line . I topped it up to full and now the light stays off. Yay!
