I found a plate inthe back of the range rover i just stripped, its like an adapter plate , only there are no counter sunk holes .
Was wondering did they use an adapter for any of the gearboxs ,
like the early autos . Is about 20mm thick.

ZF Autos ran an adapter on the back of the crank. Same size as the back of the crank but adapts from 6 bolts on the crank to 4 bolts on the converter plate. Converter doesnt bolt to the flex plate on a ZF.
