Thouhts and opinions on using one of these in the front of a rover.Due they place less stress on cv;s axles etc.How well do they work :oops:

Im not really talking from experience but in my opinion your money would be better spent on an airlocker.
Sure it will put more strain on CVs etc but the beauty of a selectable locker is that you only have to engage it when the going get really tough. The rest of the time you are running an open diff for ease of steering and less strain on stuff.

A mate has one in the front of his 80 series GXL. It seems to work fairly well while the vehicle has motion, but once momentum stops, it stops. I have seen it countless times where he is making good ground till momentum stops, then it acts almost like an open.

They work more like a LSD than a locker
