Howdy,
Just bought four 80# rims for my fj40 for a bargain price only to go home and put them on to find that the two front rims rub against the steering arm when i turn corners, which makes it difficult to turn.
If anyone has any suggestions to remedy this it would be greatly appreciated.

Run 40 series rims = different offset!!!!
Thats the only difference!! about 30-40mm in the centres? Other thing would be to run wheel spacers all around...

Seen a set of spacers on a 78 series troopy - loooked good and were tough as nails.
As for rims - yep - wrong offset.
Thx Guys

Thanks for the help guys, I am considering putting spacers on all wheels, does anyone know what size I would require or better yet where to get some cheap ones from (and yes I know they are illegal)
Cheers

you could try going to a second hand tyre n wheel place and swapping.
or try going to toyota, sometimes the dudes that do the customisations sell the rims they pull off the new vehicles, you can usually pick up some gxl rims for $30 - $50 a rim.
