does the ute come with a h233 or h260 rear diff please..

depends on the model
also in the past 2 years nissan seem to put any diff in the 4.2's and 3.0's as ARB have had issues quoting what part to order unless they eyeball the diff (or the owner knows one from the other)

What size tyre you going to be streeting?
Will you be fitting transfer gears?
Even the NA 4.2 has the torque to run a slightly taller axle ratio so the turbo would be sweet.
If you are going gears I'd consider running a 4.6s even with 37s.

max will be a 36.5

my GU wagon is already twin locked with a h260 rear
if the coil cab 4.2 has a h260 i can fit my lockers straight into the new one, same boat as thunder

See a lot of these trucks but have never seen a coil-cab with a h260.
Early 3.0 came with h260, current production have h233. Lots of little changes during production without warning. When the 3.0l first came out the ARB locker to suit h260 would not fit the versions used in 3.0l, not sure what was changed to fix this.

bigger splines
ARB made a new model to suit
my zd30 is 4 years old this week
when i bought it no one has series 2 stuff
has a series 1 bullbar and snorkle that were "adjusted" to fit

my 99 coil cab has the h233b diff and alben perrets new td6 coil cab has the h233b as well.
have heard the 3.0 wagons came out with a mix of diffs but haven't heard of any big diffs in the coil cabs...only the leaf models.
hmmm, interesting !

I'm out of my league here, but is the GU the model currently being sold? If so, Nissan's site (
http://www.nissan.com.au/patrolcab/specifications.asp) shows the leaf version having a full-floating rear, while the coil versions have semi-floating, which would be H260 and H233 respectively. If Nissan is randomly shuffling this, that would be quite unusual.

why not buy your nw ute, and just swap the complete axles over from your wagon? easier than farking around removing and replacing hemispheres..

thinking about that...
but then i would have 4.3s front and 4.1s rear in the wagon!

The GU H260 isnt a full floater. Also the coil cabs dont come with the H260 either, they were randomly fitted to the 3L and the 4.5L.
