Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has done a recent comparison on the prices of a 2" suspension lift on an F300 Narrowtrack (Leafs + IFS).

I'm also wondering if anyone's gotten a custom camshaft from Tighe cams and what your opinion is on them.

Recently been bitten by the bug....

Oh and for those who are wondering about the cam you can check it out here. Just select diahatsu from the list.

MUCH cheaper to go to a pick-a-part wrecker and grab a cam from an Applause.

Try Repco for suspension. They do Ironman???? for a reasonable price. OR go to aforementioned wrecker and grab a set of leaves from another vehicle. HQ Holdens?? fit OK IIRC.

I got the iron man one from repco and its way stiff unless you intend to tow or carry heavy wieght in the back. Also i had to drop the gearbox 2" to accomadate the pinion angle.

The current cam's not broken, I'm just looking at getting tighe's profile 970x (for more torque).

so there are bits of suspension from other cars that fit on a feroza?

I live on a shoestring budget (about 75 bucks a week for food/petrol after paying rent, I'm a full time uni student) so I was looking at the cheapest and most long term option in terms of upgrading my suspension.

Donor cams from Applauses can be had very cheaply from self serve wreckers IIRC my last cost $15. A regrind from the local cam grinder around $75 so overall it not expensive and if you don't like what you end up with then you still have the original cam.

They usually offer good guidance or just give them the events off another aftermarket cam.

In reality your not going to get lots of improvement - i've tried a few grinds and ended up using an adjustable top cam timing pulley to retard the events. Think I'm at about 12 deg retarded ATM and it hasnt' made heaps of troque improvement but does seem to hang on better at low RPM.

The Applause cam differs from the Feroza in that it has a bit more top end power and a bit less bottom end torque so you need to consider what your trying to achieve carefully before swapping.

if your trying to fix the traditional lack of Feroza torque, Applause cam ain't the way to go - if its highway then it is.
