Dual cab tray length

gday fellas, recently bought a 98 mod petrol dual cab, with a tub...
i just bought a steel tray off ebay for a single cab which i am planning to cut down to fit on the dual cab, just after some different lengths that people have on there rigs..
this is not gonna be a hard core rig, mainly used for fishin, campin and shooting, with home duties such as fire wood collection as well...
i was thinking 1800 wide (current width) by 1650 long as ythis will bring the end of the tray right above the towball...
should be plenty of load space, especially with sides on it...
anyone done this before and got any advice?
