i recently got some lifted leaf springs and noticed that the bolt that goes through the middle and holds all the leafs together was gone i looked to replace it but the holes didnt line up so i tried to drill a new hole but steel is hardened. Is it imperitive to have the bolt? Should i take it to a shop or does anyone know how i could fix it?

if you got the shop to fit em I would take it back :bad-words:
that is if they are fitted that is.

If they are just sitting on your sheed floor then why not just ring the joint where you got them from

its just that the leaves have moved around a bit, undo the clamps that go around the springs so u can moved them a bit, the shuffle them along the length of the spring until they line up then put the new centre bolt thru tighten up and then tighten up the clamps..

I got them off a rig i bought and wrecked it looks like the person before me replaced two of the leafs and didnt bother drilling the bolt through as the hole is not a little off line they are way off so i cant knock them into place they need to be redrilled.
