the clutch - part of the engine or part of the gear box

HI guys,
I have an rb30 nissan engine bolted via crs adaptor to a hilux g52 gear box.
now im separating these items and the engine has a new owner.
is the clutchgoing to be an rb30 clutch and as such no good to me and the engine buyer might as well have it.
or
is the clutch a hilux clutch and as such no good to the engine buyer so i should pull it off.

should be on a flywheel to suit the engine, no good having a yota flywheel bolted to a nissan engine

You will probably find its a mix of the two, a Nissan pressure plate with a Toyota friction plate.
The reason being the pressure plate will suit the engine & the friction plate will suit the splines on the flywheel.
Depends on what the new owner is going to do with it I guess.

its going to be an rb30 in a patrol replacing an rb30.
it looks the same as my manual, but uses 6 bolts instead of 3, though the manual does show holes where the other 3 could go...
hmmm.

I think what mk means is the pressure plate will suit the flywheel which should suit the engine and the friction plate will suit the input shaft of your gearbox.
it would go closer to suiting you than it would to suiting the engine buyer as the splines are unlikely to suit his gearbox. The pressure plate may not eb a perfect match to your flywheel but could it could be redrilled to suit if really needed. however that may not be worth the effort.
