Outer Limits 4x4 Board

first of all i havent found my usb cable so a photo will have to wait

can anyone tell me the purpose of the four small holes that sit at the bottom between the 4 head-to-intake bolt holes and the actual air passages?

i put some coloured water through them and they empty out at the little hole near two largers for the carbs. the throttle spacer plate then channels the passage to the centre which goes in the carb. is it a vacuum or emisions thing?

i have workd out the egr and pcv passages but i not sure wht these are for

I can't picture where your talking about. If they are coolant passages could they be for an autochoke
