shaky windows (GQ)

The old GQ wagon window regulators seem to shake, rattle and roll even on the bitumen these days.
The car was raised in The Pilbara and now lives in Nhulunbuy (well what do ya expect ya silly ****!).
Anyhow, any cheapo suggestions? Or am I once again attempting the impossible/shovelling **** uphill?
(New bushes on the regulators?)
Suggestions appreciated!

replace them with new ones, may seem expensive, btu when you work out they will last another 10+ years its not really that bad.
Now, electric windows, or winders etc.. are the rubbers where the window runs worn?

Windey windows and yeah the rubbers are slightly perished - still dust proof though - if the wife remembers to wind up the damn things...
Probably have to pay in Gold Dust at the Holy Grail of 4x4 Wreckers...

mine are electric windows.
Wind them all the way down.. they rattle like farken!!!!
wind em all the way down then up a centimetre.. no rattles.. no idea why it does that. But quite annoying when offroading

What makes the f##k##s rattle. Is it the channeling or the winder guts? Do people with the quarter windows have this drama or is the ones with the whole window piece?

Rear passenger ones are the worst on my wagon. However there's a bloke I know who's are as tight as a Witch's proverbial..
Then again his GQ is pretty shiny...

Thanks guys, i've been wondering for the last 6mnths where in hell the rattles were coming from!!
I've been taping up all the door hinges, packing the rubber seals out so the doors are tighter, even cranked the old bottle jack up tight enough to bend the metal out of shape where it sits!!! And now i read this and it all clicks!!!
BLOODY WINDOWS!!!
