You could do ratio's to sort this.

4.56 ratio's should be enough .. can't recall exact coin.

Yeah my bad .. diff ratios ..

What type of jeep ? auto or manual ?

Auto not such an issue .. manual 5 speed ... you'll want em.

I'd guess most people would look at a replacement transfer before replacing the gears in the factory transfer.

5 Speed manual .. i'd be looking at 4.56's .. I run that ratio in a 5 speed on 33 inch.

I agree with Chester, 4.56's or maybe 4.88 diff ratios would be ideal for 33's-35's. I'm running 4.11's with my 32's and it's perfect for me.

If you're going to do lots of rock crawling then a transfer case gear reduction works well. There are several companies that make such kits, Teraflex, Atlas etc The biggest disadvantage is that they are generally too low gearing for trails & mud and sand and are actually a disadvantage in these terrains. You can buy a '4 speed' version of the atlas which gives you another 2 gear levers so you can have multiple low ranges but now you're talking about serious money.
