Hi Everyone,

I have a 99 NL SWB 3.5 and I am in need of a set of coils. These seem to be prohibatively expensive from Mitsu. Was wondering if anyone has a set or knows where I could get a secondhand set from?

Cheers

i notice in ur sig line it mentions 2" suspension lift, meaning u would need the 2" longer coils, call around 4x4 stores/ suspension stores

I knew what ya meant in the 1st post

Bosch or lucas should do a replacement coil for a must more respectable price. Only thig is, too get one with the right output might mean the bolt pattern is different so may need to mount them slighlty different.

Can I ask - why do you need a new set - they seem to be pretty reliable....

I have been having an issue develop over the past month or so and its been getting gradually worse.

When you first accelerate from a standstill or out of a corner seems to be a massive flat spot. At first I thought this could be a TPS (I have a spare TPS and brand new throttle body as well, haven’t change it though) but then it started developing a miss all over the rev range but only under load.

And occasionally I can hear a slight backfire through the exhaust when at cruising at a constant throttle %. To me that indicates fuel is getting to the engine but is not being ignited. Lately and very intermittently the engine seems to drop a cylinder for a moment or 2.

So now I am down to ignition coils or Crank Angle as the plugs and leads are new.
